Hey there, I’m Ryan—proud New Yorker turned Atlantan, real-estate aficionado, sports enthusiast and investor. Oh, and also, I am the proud carrier of the Girl Dad title 2x!

My journey into real estate began in 2012 when I was working as a leasing consultant for luxury apartment buildings. I sought something bigger, and like many others, I was drawn to the unlimited potential of residential sales with the assumed endless riches. I couldn’t have been more wrong! I took the leap after leaving my leasing job and relying on my savings as a new real estate agent. Within a few months, I had burned through all savings with nothing to show for it and needed to return to the corporate world. In short, I didn’t know the right approach for success. After replenishing my savings, I tried again in 2014 with a new approach and outlook on the real estate industry. With some changes and being true to myself, I was able to succeed and thrive. Now with over 10 years experience in the industry and almost 250 properties successfully closed, I want to empower and help other real estate agents to avoid what I did the first time.

Tailored Agent was born out of the idea that we are all unique people with different approaches that make us most comfortable. There is no specific approach to become a Top Producing agent and the ability to help people stay true to themselves while living the lifestyle of their dreams is the ultimate goal.

Hello – I’m John, a creative problem solver with a lifetime of meaningful zigs and zags, including a career as a residential real estate agent. Buckle up, because the following is my (very) condensed life summary.

My story begins with a military enlistment at 18 years old that was met with uncertainty and a steep learning curve. By the age of 21, I was selected for a special duty assignment, in which my clients were the pilots and flight engineers of a C-5 cargo plan during missions around the world (2005-2007). Scared out of my mind, my strategy was to be the flying crew chief I thought they wanted – a mistaken theme that carried into my first month as a real estate agent many years later. In 2015 while finishing a master’s degree in geosciences, I decided to work fulltime on a high-volume real estate sales team as a listing agent. My initial approach as a hard-closing agent within the first month resulted in a 0% conversion rate on the first 20 listing appointments. I concluded that I sucked! My supervisor, however, explained that I’d find my groove soon enough. Six months later, I was on my 18th closing and was one of the top converting agents on the team, finishing the year with around $8m in sales. I began training new agents and realized a common theme – the agents were trying to be the person they thought would sell more. It was the same mistake I made!

Ryan and I partnered in 2024 to create a real estate specific assessment to highlight each agent’s true strengths in three categories; Personality, RE Strategy, and Habits.
